City were hoping to lure the 21-year old to Eastlands but it looks as though they will leave Real Madrid to make the £25million play for his services.

Manuel Pellegrini had been handed the task of landing Isco’s signature as his first move as new City boss but will not put too much work into his Andalusia apprentice following the arrivals of Jesus Navas and Fernandinho prior to him stepping into the Emirates Stadium hot seat.
